Year 2

07-16-2004 Year 2 TRECC and NCASSR Funded Research and Development Begins

Year 2 research and development into Sequential Pattern Matching and Mining Hidden Networks has started.

Year 1

06-19-2004 MAIDS System Demonstrated at SIGMOD 2004

The MAIDS team did a successful system demonstration at this year's top database systems conference, ACM SIGMOD 2004 in Paris, France, June 13 - 18. The MAIDS System Demo attracted many industry researchers, university professors and Ph.D. students due to its novel techniques and the live display. The MAIDS paper has been selected to be included in the conference proceedings (page 919 - 920). This conference has provided a good opportunity for the MAIDS team to participate in the research community and exchange ideas with other researchers. Encouraged by the spirit of the conference, the MAIDS team has decided to continue the effort to build a powerful system for stream data analysis.

02-23-2004 MAIDS Paper Accepted for SIGMOD 2004

The paper submitted to SIGMOD by the MAIDS team has been accepted. This paper is going to appear in the 23rd ACM SIGMOD (International Conference on Management of Data) - Demonstration Track, June 13-18, 2004, Paris, France.

02-16-2004 Additional Funding Received for Year 2 Research and Development

The MAIDS Team received additional funding from TRECC and NCASSR for two more projects related to streaming data. The TRECC funding is for researching the techniques and the NCASSR funding is for developing the prototype software. We plan to continue development of these algorithms in the D2K framework.
